Interview at Krista Van Dolzer's Place

So head on over to Mother. Write. (Repeat.) if you want to know juicy details about my querying process. (Or if you're researching agents and want to know what Victoria Marini is looking for in a manuscript.)

Also, yes, I did have specific crit partners in mind when I wrote the advice about that (towards the end of the interview). One of my toughest CP's isn't even a writer. She's an avid reader, though, and she asks HARD questions. I need that. Plus, she loves to brainstorm, which is fun.

And my kissy-face-love-love critter would be the always lovely Mandy Silberstein. *waves* She literally draws hearts all over my pages. She's so encouraging. And y'know what? I need that, too. Plus, if Mandy mentions something that needs changing, I don't even consult my brain. I change it.

  2. Great interview! :) Always fun to get a little back story. Can't wait till I can purchase Loop! :) I have a soft spot for time travel. I have one that I shelved a couple years ago. I find that whenever I read time travel, I have to discuss it with my husband. We hash out the "what if's" together! LOL

  3. Thanks for the shout-out, Karen! Maybe I need to get Mandy to read my manuscripts, since none of my CPs draw hearts on anything I send them:)

  4. This is so awesome!! I'm sure that's been my exact same comment the last umpteen times I've posted, but it really is awesome. Again, I didnt' understand about 30% of the interview (me being a money/numbers kinds of person, not a literary type), but it was still enjoyable. I'm just so proud for you! It's kind of crazy that I will be able to go into a bookstore and say, "Hey! I know that author!"
